Therapeutic Approach and Modalities

Dialectic Behavioral Therapy:
Incorporates mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, & interpersonal effectiveness skills- helping individuals manage emotions, improve relationships, & reduce self-destructive behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy:
Focuses on identifying & changing negative or distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress & unhealthy behaviors.

Trauma-Focused:
An approach that recognizes & understands the pervasive nature & impact of trauma, while emphasizing on overall safety- guiding individuals rebuild a sense of worth & empowerment.

Emotion-Focused
A therapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals identify, experience, and process their emotions to promote healing and personal growth

Humanistic:
Focuses on a person’s individual nature and potential for growth while emphasizing on authenticity, self-improvement, & personal growth.
